“Club with a Heart” at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute – a new space for young patients and their caregivers
The Erste Bank Polska Foundation has completed another project under the “Club with a Heart” programme. Since 3 July this year, children have been able to use a new, colourful space at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. The investment was carried out thanks to the involvement and support of Erste Bank Polska’s corporate clients.
The “Club with a Heart” programme supports children hospitalised in the largest medical centres in Poland. Its aim is to create places that provide young patients and their caregivers with comfort, a sense of safety, and the opportunity to rest during their hospital stay.
As part of the work at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute, the dining room, waiting area, and kitchen were renovated. The space underwent a comprehensive transformation – the walls were refreshed, new flooring was installed, and a unique design featuring wallpaper inspired by the underwater world was created. Marine motifs gave the interior a warm and calming character, conducive to relaxation and tranquillity.
The rooms were also fully furnished and equipped. The new space includes, among other items, tables with chairs, a comfortable sofa, and numerous accessories that enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of the interior. It is a place where young patients, their parents, and caregivers can spend time together, have a meal, rest, study, or simply take a short break from the everyday challenges related to treatment.

About the “Club with a Heart” programme
The programme has been run by the Erste Foundation since 2018. Its main objective is to improve the conditions of children’s stays in medical and care-and-education facilities by renovating and comprehensively equipping rooms tailored to the needs of the youngest patients.
Each project is developed in cooperation with facility staff and experienced contractors. Consultations with medical staff and caregivers make it possible to create spaces that respond to the real needs of children and their families.
